Gas Prices Skyrocket 33 Cents In 2 Weeks
CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) -- A new survey says the average price of regular gasoline in the United States has jumped 33 cents per gallon in the last two weeks.
The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says it's the second biggest price increase over a two-week span on record.
Analyst Trilby Lundberg found in the survey completed Friday that the average national price of a gallon of regular is $3.51.
The average price for mid-grade is $3.64, and premium was at $3.75.
Diesel is up 29 cents, to $3.88 a gallon.
Billings, Mont., had the lowest average price among cities surveyed at $3.15 a gallon for regular. San Diego was the highest among surveyed areas at $3.87.
Fresno had California's lowest gas prices, at $3.70 for a regular gallon.
