Gas Leak In South Sacramento Capped, Road Reopened
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A natural gas leak in South Sacramento which closed a major road has been capped and the road has been reopened.
PG&E crews were working in the area of Fruitridge Road and Stockton Boulevard today when they cut the line. As a result, Northbound and southbound lanes of Stockton Boulevard from Fruitridge Road to Lawrence Drive were closed.
A nearby strip mall was evacuated, according to authorities.
The leak was capped around 9:15 p.m., according to PG&E officials.
