Gas Leak Closes Folsom Blvd In Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Parts of Folsom Boulevard were still closed Saturday night while utility crews worked to repair a broken gas line.
Authorities redirected traffic around Folsom Boulevard and La Riviera Drive while PG&E workers fixed a broken 4-inch gas pipe.
Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies reportedly smelled the gas just after 5:00 a.m. Saturday while on routine patrols.
Crews found the cover of the utility access hole rattle from the pressure of the gas leak, authorities said.
Repairs were expected to be finished by 9:00 p.m. Saturday but still have not yet been completed due to complications that prevented the use of heavy machinery.
