Game Preview: Republic FC Vs. Harrisburg City Islanders
Thousands of people are expected to flock to Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City College on Saturday for Sacramento Republic FC's first home game against Harrisburg City Islanders. But before you head to the game, here are a few helpful tips you should know.
Getting to the Game
The easiest way to get to there is by train. The RT Blue Line's City College station is just east of the stadium.
If you drive, you'll have limited parking at the stadium and have to pay $10. The lot opens at 5 p.m. You can enter the stadium parking lot from Freeport Boulevard or Sutterville Road. According to the team's website, Bike parking is free at two different locations. You're encouraged to take Land Park Drive or 24th Street.
Getting Tickets
Unfortunately the game has sold out. But you can still get tickets for upcoming games. Republic FC has two additional home games at Hughes Stadium. One is on May 3 against Orange County Blues FC and the other is May 17 when they take on L.A. Galaxy II.
The Match
The team says it will offer a fun fan zone with games, activities, live music, inflatables food and beer. Tailgaters: Unfortunately tailgating and drinking are not allowed in the parking lot.
