Fourth Suspect Arrested In Random Gas Station Slaying
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of a man at an Arden-Arcade-area gas station in late September.
Sacramento County Sheriff Homicide Detectives arrested Jose Flores DeJesus-Tinco, 22, in connection with the September 28 shooting death of Jesus Antonio Macias, 33, at the Beacon Gas Station on El Camino Ave. near Darwin St.
Homicide Detectives arrested Eldin Robles,20, on November 19. Gilberto Esteban Cardona,18, and a male juvenile were arrested on October 4.
For unknown reasons, the suspects randomly targeted Jesus at the convenience store in the 31 block of El Camino Avenue, say investigators. A confrontation ensued and one of the suspects shot Jesus once in the upper body.
"He's the type of man who would walk away because of his responsibilities with his children," one of Jesus' friends said.
Investigators believe Cardona and the juvenile suspect may have gang affiliations; however, Jesus is not believed to have any gang ties.
