Former NFL Coach Dennis Green Dies At 67
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Former NFL head coach Dennis Green has passed away, CBS Sports reports.
According to multiple reports, Green died of sudden cardiac arrest. He was 67 years old.
Green was probably best known for his 17 years in the NFL coaching for the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals. He even served with the 49ers for a season as a coordinator and a stint as Standford's head coach.
The end of Green's career saw him coaching in the short-lived United Football League for the Sacramento Mountain Lions. The league folded in 2012.
