Former Fourth And Hope Director Accused Of Stealing From Yolo County Charity
WOODLAND (CBS13) — The former executive director of a Yolo County charity is accused of stealing from the organization.
Leona Jull was the director of Fourth and Hope, a Woodland shelter dedicated to helping the hungry and homeless. She's now charged with grand theft.
According to police, Jull used a credit card from the charity to rack up $30,000 of personal property.
People who stay at the shelter say they feel betrayed.
"That's something wrong to do. That's a shame," said Emmanuel Rojas.
Neighbors can't believe it either.
"That's just evil," said Tracy Justice.
The organization had no comment today.
Jull resigned earlier this year, and was arrested and booked on Tuesday. She posted bail and is awaiting arraignment.
Police have had her under investigation since April .
