Foothills Communities At Risk Of Flooding

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A Pacific storm system is bringing rain and mountain snow to northern California. More than half of an inch has already reported throughout Sacramento and northern San Joaquin Valleys. The rain is heavier throughout the Foothills, so the concern of urban flooding is high tonight.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for the western slope of the sierra until 8 a.m. Sunday.
Ski resorts can expect 8-11 inches at 7000 and 4-7 inches at 5000, perhaps a few flakes will even drop to 3000' in elevation.
Precipitation will taper off to scattered showers tonight and you should wake up to a slight drizzle but this storm will be gone by tomorrow afternoon.
