Five Hurt After Alleged Drunk Driver Slams Into Bar Patio
FOLSOM (CBS13) – Five people were seriously hurt overnight when an alleged drunk driver slammed into the patio of bowling alley bar in Folsom, according to Folsom Police.
The driver, 41-year-old Tera Nicholson, was apparently attempting to leave Folsom Lake Bowl Sports Bar And Casino on East Bidwell Street when the accident happened around 1:30 a.m.
Police believe Nicholson was under the influence of alcohol when she accidently put the car in drive instead of reverse instead of reverse sending the car through the bar patio.
Four men and one woman were taken to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
Nicholson was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main jail on a felony DUI charge. Her bail has been set at $90,000.
Folsom Police say they are also investigating to see if she was overserved at the bar.
