Fire At South Sacramento Home Exposes Pot-Growing Operation
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire in south Sacramento this morning where pot plants were growing.
The fire started began at around 9 a.m. on Perry Avenue. No one was inside the home at the time. And when firefighters went inside, they found marijuana plants, which made fighting the fire difficult.
The residents reportedly had a permit to grow marijuana, but sheriff's deputies are investigating whether the residents were following regulations.
