Firefighters Believe North Highlands Home Fire Started In Chimney
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – Firefighters believe a fire that forced six people from their North Highlands home overnight started in the chimney.
By the time firefighters were called to the home on Renick Way near Madison Avenue, the fire had already spread from the back wall of the home to the attic.
Crews were able to vent the roof and get the flames under control.
However, the home suffered heavy damage and a home next door suffered some smoke damage.
No one was hurt in the fire.
