Fire Destroys Church In South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (AP) - The roof of a church collapsed as flames tore through the two-story structure in South Los Angeles.
Fire crews using ladder trucks surrounded the church early Monday to keep the blaze from spreading to adjacent structures in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood.
"When we arrived on scene we had fire showing," LAFD Spokesperson Erik Scott told CBS in L.A. "[This is] a very significant and challenging incident for us."
No injuries have been reported.
There's no word on the cause of the fire.
