Fire Damages Vacant Home In South Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters are investigating a mysterious fire that damaged a home in South Sacramento.
Neighbors say the home on Court Parkway near Center Parkway is vacant. They are also reporting that they heard explosions before the fire started.
Fire fighters arrived on scene to find flames covering the front part of the home.
Fire fighters called out a second alarm because of the threat to nearby homes.
Investigators say the power and gas had been turned off to the home, and there have been no reports of squatters or transients in the area.
Fire fighters say the wet weather helped keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
