Reportedly Kidnapped Vallejo Woman Found Safe
VALLEJO (CBS/AP) - Police confirm that Denise Huskins, the Vallejo woman reportedly kidnapped earlier this week, has been found safe at a relative's Southern California home.
Huskins' father, Mike Huskins, says he received a frantic call from Denise saying she was dropped off in Huntington Beach, then the call was disconnected.
It's still not known how she ended up in Huntington Beach.
Mike made the trip from the Los Angeles area to Vallejo to be close to the investigation and the search for his daughter.
Police and search crews from all over the area spread out over Mare Island Tuesday searching for Denise, and called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice to help.
Officers converged on the home where Denise was reportedly kidnapped. Sources say her boyfriend was the one who reported the kidnapping about 12 hours after it allegedly happened on Monday morning.
Investigators believe her boyfriend's Toyota Camry was used in the kidnapping. It was eventually found in an undisclosed area of Vallejo.
