Fall-Like Weather Moves In, Rain Possible
Great weather is ahead, but major changes are on tap for the end of the week.
An area of low pressure off the coast will help keep the delta breeze strong for the next couple of days. Sacramento and valley locations will stay in the mid 80s Monday, with temperatures in the low 80s for the foothills.
Sierra temperatures will also be cool, topping out in the mid 70s, with some possible gusty winds Monday.
The major weather changes will happen as we get into Friday and Saturday. A storm system in the Gulf of Alaska will migrate toward Northern California and bring the threat of rain with it.
Forecast models indicate we could see valley and mountain rain Friday afternoon into Saturday.
Currently, it looks like most of the rain will favor areas north of Interstate 80. However, a lot can change in the next few days leading up to this fall-like weather system.
