The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in connection to a killing in Valley Ford on Saturday.

Around 3 p.m., someone called the sheriff's office to report there was a man outside of their home yelling and trying to break down the door.

The caller told the sheriff's office there were two people inside the home and that they were in contact with one of them.

While the suspect tried to break in, one of the people inside began locking all the doors and windows, while the other hid.

The sheriff's office said the suspect succeeded in breaking down a door and killed one of the occupants.

Deputies were able to quickly arrest the suspect. He was identified as 44-year-old Adrian Yanez of Fairfield.

Yanez was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of murder and burglary.
