Fair Oaks Teen Shot At Home
FAIR OAKS (CBS13) -- The condition of a Fair Oaks teen is still unknown after he was shot at his home last night.
Deputies received the call at 9 p.m. that the boy had been shot inside a home in the 5600 block of Ritz Way. When they arrived, deputies found the 17-year-old victim inside the garage with a bullet wound to the chest.
Investigators think the teen was hanging out with some friends who were handling a handgun when it accidentally went off.
Investigators found a gun inside the home, but have not definitively linked it to the shooting. Several of the victim's family members were at the home, but were not able to provide information about what happened.
