Ex-Raiders Coach Arrested For Punching Boy
PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer punched a boy in the face after confronting him and another boy about using his beach chairs while they fished along the shore near his Florida home, according to an arrest report released Monday.
The Walton County Sheriff's Office report says Kromer confronted the pair on Saturday. Kromer, 48, threw a fishing pole into the water, pushed one boy to the ground and then punched him, Deputy David Sanders wrote in the report.
The boy told deputies that Kromer threatened to kill his family if he reported the incident. The boys' ages were not disclosed and other details about the juveniles were redacted from the report.
Kromer was arrested early Sunday and released on bond. He's charged with battery that caused bodily harm.
The report does not list an attorney for Kromer.
Walton County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Corey Dobridnia said Monday that the investigation was not closed. Authorities said earlier that additional charges were possible.
The Bills said in a release that they're aware of the arrest and are gathering facts.
Kromer joined the team in January after being fired from the Chicago Bears. He was previously the offensive line coach for the Oakland Raiders from 2002-2004.
