UPDATE: Missing Elk Grove Boy Found At Bowling Alley

ELK GROVE (CBS13) -- A search for a missing Elk Grove autistic boy who walked away from school Thursday morning ended about five hours later when he was found safe at a bowling alley six miles away.

The manager at Strikes on Laguna Boulevard saw Kongmong Xiong, 13, sitting at a video game at the bowling alley and notified the police. It wasn't clear how Xiong got to the bowlign alley.

Dozens of law enforcement officers were looking for Xiong after he went missing from his elementary school Thursday morning. He was last seen at 9:15 a.m. at Joseph Kerr Middle School.

Liz Graswich, a spokeswoman for the Elk Grove Unified School District, said Xiong has gone missing before when there is something negative going on around him, and that there was a disturbance in class Thursday morning and he left.

She said Xiong has limited speaking skills and might not be able to communicate that he is lost.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department sent 14 units to the search area and brought in choppers, according to sheriff's spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos.
