Elementary School Briefly Locked Down After Nearby Robbery
DAVIS, Calif. (CBS13) – An elementary school was locked down Thursday afternoon after armed suspects robbed a nearby motel at gunpoint, authorities said.
Authorities issued the precautionary order for Pioneer Elementary School after an unknown number of suspects held a Motel 6 clerk at gunpoint at about 1:45 p.m.
The two men fled on foot south along El Cemonte Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The lockdown order was lifted after police searched the area. No arrests have been made.
The first suspect is described as an African American male wearing a maroon colored jacket, about 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short hair. The second suspect was described as an African American male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, about 5'7", with a thin build.
