El Dorado County Deputies Display Stolen Jewelry Boxes

PLACERVILLE (CBS13) – El Dorado County Sheriff's deputies have broken up a fencing operation and are now trying to return some of the stolen property to its rightful owners.

Over the past few months, deputies have been investigating a fencing operation in the Placerville area that has been selling items that had been stolen from homes in the area.

Detectives ended up arresting 69-year-old Ronald Rich who they say was one of the primary purchasers of the stolen property.

When they searched Rich's Panorama Drive home, they found numerous firearms, musical instruments, jewelry boxes with primarily costume jewelry and power tools.

Now deputies are trying to find the owners of the property, particularly several unique jewelry boxes.

If you recognize the jewelry boxes or want to look at the costume jewelry, you can contact the Sheriff's Investigations Division at (530) 642-4703 to schedule an appointment. They ask that you have your property list and case number available for reference.
