Driver Rear-Ends Motorcyclist, Flees With Victim On Car Hood
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A car driver struck a motorcyclist on San Francisco's Lombard Street on Monday and continued driving for a couple of blocks with the motorcyclist still on the hood of the vehicle, police said.
A man was riding his motorcycle east on Lombard Street around 6:55 a.m. when he was rear-ended between Franklin and Gough streets, SFPD Officer Albie Esparza said.
The motorcyclist landed on the hood of the car and remained there as the driver kept traveling east on Lombard Street, Esparza said.
The car was pulled over at Lombard Street and Van Ness Avenue by off-duty federal agents, and the man driving the car was arrested, according to Esparza.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
