Downtown Sacramento Hotel To Be Converted Into Homeless Shelter
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento has been awarded millions in state funding to convert a downtown hotel into a permanent homeless shelter.
The $24 million grant from the state's Project Homekey program will be used to turn the Best Western on H Street into a 92-unit shelter, with bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.
This is the third hotel in Sacramento to be converted into homeless housing with funding from Project Homekey.
