Downed Power Lines Spark Granite Bay Fires

GRANITE BAY (CBS13) – Downed power lines sparked at least two fires early Tuesday morning in Granite Bay.

Fire fighters were called to the are along Dick Cook Road and Auburn-Folsom Road around 4:00 this morning.

The fires broke out in a remote area with heavy brush. 

Extra help was called in because of the dense brush and hard to reach area.
 
Fire fighters believe a tree fell and pulled down the live lines.

No homes are affected right now.
