UPDATE: DMV Computers Back Up

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Computer systems at the Department of Motor Vehicles were down statewide after an attempt to upgrade the aging system apparently hit a speed bump.

Crews upgraded the DMV computer system over the weekend in an attempt to make the system used for Drivers Licenses more efficient; however, when workers tried to use it this morning, the system went down statewide.

Crews are working to get the DMV's old system back on line.
