Detectives: Man Dies After Fight In Rancho Cordova
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Detectives are investigating a homicide that happened along Mather Field Road in Rancho Cordova late Thursday night.
A man in his early 60s is said to have been taken to the hospital around 11 p.m., according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. The man had suffered injuries from some kind of assault that authorities believe happened along the 3300 block of Mather Field Road.
The man – who has not been identified – later died at the hospital, detectives say.
Detectives believe that the man was injured in a fight with another man. Describing the incident as a "mutual altercation," detectives note that the other man involved has not been arrested, pending a review by the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
