Detectives Investigate Fatal Compton Shooting
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles County homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of another on a street in Compton.
The Sheriff's Department says witnesses told deputies a person approached the two victims on a sidewalk late Friday, had a brief conversation and then shot both multiple times. The shooter ran off down the street and out of view.
One victim died at the scene and the other was hospitalized in critical condition.
