Deputies Seeking Witnesses To Sacramento Homicide

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Investigators are searching for clues into the circumstances leading up to the death of a woman Thursday morning near Highway 99.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said 59-year-old Marilyn Nash, was last seen at a Chevron gas station near Florin Road and East Parkway just before 1:00 a.m. September 1, and was found dead by a pedestrian near the Highway 99 overpass around 7:00 a.m.

The cause of Nash's death has not been released, but investigators have classified the case as a homicide.

Detectives released surveillance video from the gas station that shows two other women who apparently had contact with the victim. The women are not considered suspects and are being sought to help authorities piece together Nash's actions early Thursday morning.

No suspects have been identified.
