UPDATED: North Highlands Residential Shooting Was Suicide
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) - What started off as a potential standoff with Sacramento sheriff's deputies Friday morning has been confirmed as a suicide, officials say.
A North Highlands man went to his local fire station reporting his grandson entered his home in the 3700 block of Floral Drive and opened fire.
Sgt. Jason Ramos said neighbors reported hearing a shot fired.
Deputies were not sure if anyone was in the home but finally entered and discovered the body of the grandson, Ramos said.
