Deputies Find Man Passed Out In Car Full Of Stolen Property
GRANITE BAY (CBS13) -- A Sacramento man was arrested Thursday morning after Placer County Sheriff's deputies reportedly found him passed out in a car that was full of stolen property.
Deputies responded to the Walgreen's parking long on Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay after someone called 911. Deputies found Yevgeniy Gorlachev, 24, slumped over in the driver's seat of his car with the engine running.
Deputies found a syringe on the floor, a methamphetamine pipe on Gorlachev's lap and marijuana inside the fuse box of the engine compartment.
Deputies also found a stolen iPhone and other cell phones, blank checks that didn't belong to Gorlachev, a laptop computer, iPods and stereos.
Gorlachev was taken to the Placer County Jail in Auburn and booked on charges of possession and transportation of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, possession of a hypodermic needle and violating his parole. His bail was set at $25,000.
