Dense Fog Slows Morning Commute
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Dense fog is making road travel dangerous for commuters this Wednesday morning.
The fog is spotty in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys. In some places visibility is clear, but in others it's still limited to only a few hundred feet. The CHP urges drivers to reduce speed and turn on their headlights.
One of the worst spots for visibility CBS13 saw on the freeway was at I-80 and Harbor Boulevard, where lights seemed to suddenly emerge from the mist.
Fog may have contributed to an accident just before 8 a.m. in Davis. A pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing Russell and Lake Boulevards. The severity of the victim's injuries is unknown.
There have been some minor accidents just south of Stockton.
A dense fog advisory will remain until noon.
