THE DEFENSE
Q: Why Santos?
A: Because that's the name of my baby!
Q: How old is your baby?
A: He's eight months.
Q: How long have you had it?
A: I've had it for I think a year already.
Q: How did you get it?
A: I got it off Craigslist.
Q: How many miles have you personally put on it?
A: Ten thousand already.
Q: Why did you decide to come here today?
A: Because we wanted to visit the fort.
Q: It's a cool place.
A: Yeah.
Q: What neighborhood do you live in and what's the zip code?
A: It's San Jose, 95119.
Q: What are you doing in Sacramento today?
A: My parents had to go to a convention.
Q: How old are you?
A: Eighteen.
Q: What's your car's main use?
A: Commuting, mostly.
Q: How long is your commute?
A: It's about a half hour.
Q: What's the worst thing about your commute?
A: The traffic. Traffic in San Jose is crazy and my school should only be about 15 minutes away, but with traffic it's like 35 to 40.
Q: Wow.
A: Yeah.
Q: How much time do you spend in your car on an average day?
A: I'd say about half my day.
Q: Half your day? Wow! Where do you go?
A: I go to school, or I just go out, or take my baby to daycare.
Q: What's your favorite day trip from home?
A: Probably my school because instead of taking the freeway, I can take the back streets. Up the mountains, it's pretty.
Q: What's your favorite place to visit?
A: Anywhere? I'd have to say Paris.
Q: What's the furthest place you've driven?
A: Mexico.
Q: What did you do there?
A: I visited family.
Q: How long did it take you to get there?
A: About three days.
Q: Do you have any rules in your car?
A: No, not really.
Q: What do you like to listen to in your car?
A: Anything. Whatever's on the radio.
Q: Do you have a favorite radio station?
A: No, I just press buttons until something good comes on.
Q: Do you ever rock out or sing a long?
A: Sometimes.
Q: If your car had a theme song, what would it be?
A: It would probably be "We will, we will rock you!" ["We Will Rock You" by Queen.]
Q: Ah, yes, Queen. Why did you pick that song?
A: I just think it's a pretty fun car and he likes screaming all the time.
Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be?
A: Probably anger.
Q: Anger? Why's that?
A: Because sometimes it doesn't want to start, or when it does start the A/C goes crazy.
Q: What are you most proud of about your car?
A: That it's four-cylinders.
