Crowds Pack Downtown Sacramento Concert

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Few problems were reported at a packed, sold-out concert Sunday at the Capitol Mall featuring some of the biggest names in popular music.

At least 14,000 people queued up in long lines to enter the 102.5 Live Concert in downtown Sacramento, which featured performances from Nelly, Keri Hilson, Flo Rida and other artists.

One performer, Jeremih, said he received a spectacular ovation from the capacity crowd and "didn't want to leave."

The Sacramento Police Department brought a number of officers to the event and made sure security checked every bag and attendee for dangerous objects. No arrests were reported at the event.

"We have a very strong police presence here and we have a lot of private security as well," said Officer Laura Peck.

KSFM 102.5 declared the concert a "gang free zone" and enforced a strict dress code: no bandanas, hoodies or excessively baggy jeans.
