Crews Contain Small Diesel Fuel Spill At South Lake Tahoe
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) -- Cleanup crews at Lake Tahoe say they've contained another small diesel fuel spill at the Tahoe Keys lagoon at the south end of the lake.
Lake Tahoe News reports the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association in South Lake Tahoe first reported the spill to the California Office of Emergency Services at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Association workers immediately placed booms in the water to keep the fuel from spreading. They estimated the spill at about 4 gallons. The source has not been determined.
An investigation is continuing into a spill at the Tahoe Keys in April, when it took several days to clean up a slick of oil estimated at 30 gallons.
