Crews Clean Up Mudslide On I-80 Near Colfax
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Caltrans crews had to clean up a mudslide along Interstate 80 near Colfax early Saturday afternoon.
The mudslide was first reported just after noon. Crews had to truck out 2 to 10 yard dump loads of mud and rock from the westbound side of I-80, according to Caltrans.
The roadway has since been cleared and traffic looks to be flowing normally.
However, Caltrans is concerned about additional rainfall expected today and through the week that could also cause more problems.
