Crash Closes Lanes Of EB I-80 Near West Camino Avenue
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Lanes of eastbound Interstate 80 in Sacramento were closed Tuesday morning following a crash.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m., just west of the West El Camino Avenue off ramp. A sedan was heading east on the freeway when it hit a road worker and a trailer surrounded by caution cones, according to a statement from the CHP.
The driver had to be extricated from their vehicle. Both the driver and the worker were taken to the hospital to be treated for major injuries.
The connector ramp from eastbound Highway 50 to Interstate 80 in West Sacramento had been closed.
Lanes reopened around 10:15 a.m.
