Cows Rescued As Fire Breaks Out At Sacramento County Dairy Farm

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) -– Dozens of cows had to be moved to safety early Thursday morning after a massive barn fire broke out on a Sacramento County dairy farm.

The fire continues to burn at the farm on Carroll Road in south Sacramento County just off Eschinger and Bruceville roads.

Farm workers, with the help of firefighters, moved all the cows to safety.

Firefighters are keeping an eye on the flames but are letting the barn containing hundreds of bales of hay to burn.

Smoke and flames can be seen from Highway 99.
