Couple Pleads For Return Of Wedding Photos Given Away By Walgreens
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Newlyweds Pam and Howard Waelder couldn't afford a wedding photographer, so they have a friend take pictures with a film camera.
They dropped the two rolls of film off at a Walgreens and when they came to pick them up:
"They said, well, one's already been picked up," said Pam Waelder. "I said, No it hasn't because I hadn't picked them up."
Those missing pictures have some of the couple's first memories.
"We was shoving the cake into each face," Howard said. "Everyone was cheering Pam on to get me good, so I was hoping to get those pictures."
Those photos have precious memories of the couple—something they might not be able to add to soon.
Pam says Howard's health is deteriorating fast, and she doesn't know how much longer he has. He barely made it through the ceremony, because he has trouble standing.
"I've finally found the love of my life, and I'm going to lose him soon," she said.
Walgreens told the couple it accidentally gave the pictures to someone else, and is trying to get them back.
But the newlyweds aren't counting on it.
"I don't know if I'll ever see those pictures again," Pam said.
Walgreens says the couple will not have to pay for their photos.
