Couple Arrested After Dealing Meth For Decades
OLIVEHURST, Calif. (CBS13) ― An Olivehurst couple was finally arrested on Wednesday after avoiding detection of selling methamphetamines to a select group of customers, according to authorities.
George Thomas Snow, 44, and Mary Carol Gorham, 49, were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamines and marijuana for sale while armed and possession of a stolen firearm, said Yuba-Sutter Narcotic and Gang Enforcement officials.
Snow admitted to officials that the sale of methamphetamines had been the couple's sole source of income for the past 25 years.
Narcotic and Gang Enforcement officials found 20 grams of meth, more than two pounds of marijuana, a scale, packaging materials and $1,400 in cash. Officials also found seven firearms, including a rifle that was said to be stolen in a Yuba City burglary.
Both Snow and Gorham were booked into the Yuba County Jail, where bail was set at $45,000 for Gorham, but Snow's bail was not yet available.
