Citrus Heights Man, Dog Stabbed While On Morning Walk
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — A man and his dog were stabbed during a morning walk around the back of an apartment complex on Monday, according to Citrus Heights Police.
Investigators say officers responded to a possible stabbing in the 7400 block of Auburn Oaks Court just before 10 a.m. and found a man and his dog who appeared to be stabbed.
They say the suspect attacked the victim during a morning walk. The suspect may have been injured during the attack when victim fought back.
The man was taken to the hospital, while animal control responded for his dog. Injuries to both appear to be nonthreatening.
Police are still searching for the suspect—a white male in his 50s standing about 6-feet, 5 inches, with a muscular build and a shaved head. He was seen leaving the area on a bicycle.
