Teen Participates In Cigarette Store Robbery Caught On Tape
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento Sheriff's Department detectives are working to track down two people, a woman and a teenager, who robbed a cigarette store on Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento.
Just after 4 p.m. a woman between 28 and 32 years old and a male in his late teens walked into Why Pay More Cigarette Store and selected several items. They approached the counter, but instead of paying for the items, the woman pulled out a gun and ordered the clerk to open the cash register and give her the cash inside.
Woman: I need change for $100 and I got a $100 bill. So c'mon, open the drawer.
Clerk: "For what?"
Woman: "Open the drawer (pulls out handgun). That's why."
Clerk: "Give me money, I open it."
The clerk refused to open the register, which angered the woman. She hit a low-hanging surveillance camera with the gun and threatened to shoot the clerk.
Woman: "Open the (inaudible) now! Now!"
Clerk : "I'll open it, OK?"
Teen: "Shoot that (inaudible). You press anything and I swear to God she gonna bust a cap in your a**."
The clerk opened the register and the woman reached across the counter and took out the money.
Woman: "Open it, now! Open the mother f***er now. Open it. Give me everything."
The woman grabbed the cash and ran out. The teen followed close behind with the cash, and said "bye" just before running out.
The woman is African-American, and appeared to be between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, weighing about 165 pounds. She was wearing a gray suit jacket, gray dress shorts and black boots. The teens is African-American, is 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a black Chicago White Sox beanie and black clothing.
