CHP Searching For Driver Of Tractor Hit By Train Near Lodi
LODI (CBS13) – CHP officers are searching for the driver of a John Deere tractor that was hit by a train Thursday morning near Lodi.
The accident happened just after 6:30 this morning at East Jahant Road at Lower Sacramento Road. The tractor apparently became stuck on the track and the train could not stop in time.
Witnesses say they saw the driver of the tractor jump to safety before the collision. However, he has not been located. CHP does not believe he was injured.
CHP believes the driver may have been unlicensed or an undocumented worker.
No one on the train was hurt.
