Child Seriously Hurt In Modesto Accident

MODESTO, Calif. (CBS13) -- A child has been airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a car Tuesday afternoon.

The Modesto Fire Department said the 10-year-old boy darted into the street near the intersection of Granger Avenue and College Avenue and was struck by a silver SUV, suffering severe injuries.

The victim was airlifted to the hospital.

The driver was questioned by police, but authorities said there are no immediate indications he was under the influence or impaired.
