Cash And Kilts Missing After Thief Hits Dixon Scottish Games
DIXON (CBS13) - Cash and kilts are missing after someone broke into the Dixon May Fair Grounds during this weekend's Scottish games.
Dixon police say a thief broke into the fairgrounds this weekend and took items and money from the vendors set up inside.
The suspect or suspects made off with nearly $10,000 in merchandise including the kilts, hand-made jewelry and more.
"Our vendors have been with us since it started, the very first games so when they become a victim of a crime it effects us because they're part of our family," said Phil Venable of the Dixon Scottish Cultural Association.
Organizers believe the suspect got in through a street side door.
Unfortunately, nearby surveillance cameras at the grounds were not working.
