Car Slams Into Power Pole Overnight
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The driver of the vehicle is in custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after his car slammed into a power pole overnight.
The crash happened at Folsom Boulevard and La Riviera Drive. Police say the man was traveling down Folsom Boulevard when he either passed out or fell asleep and slammed into the pole.
Crews are working to replace the pole. In the meantime, police urge drivers to stop at the flashing lights set up at the intersection.
The man has been taken into custody.
