SUV Injures 9 After Hitting Folsom Starbucks
FOLSOM (CBS13) — An SUV crashed into a Folsom Starbucks on Tuesday, injuring patrons during a busy time of day.
Nine people were injured when a black Lexus SUV drove into the coffee shop on East Bidwell Street. Six of them were taken to the hospital.
A woman behind the wheel missed the brake and hit the gas instead, plowing into the store.
The SUV smashed through the glass storefront and practically made it to the counter of the shop.
The crash shook the entire building, sending employees of nearby businesses outside to find out what happened.
Drugs, alcohol, cellphone use, and age are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
