Call Kurtis: Smacked Down?
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A Sacramento 12-year old was looking forward to a smackdown when the WWE came to town. But when the tickets his family bought online didn't show and he missed the event, it was time to call Kurtis.
They bought ringside tickets way back in March! The event was in August. So what happened to those tickets and where's their refund?
Ringside at ARCO Arena is where 12-year old Tyler Shotts thought he'd be in August.
"I think it's really cool... a bunch of guys beating each other up, metal chairs, tables, tons of fun," says Tyler.
"Maybe some of the guys would bleed on me, so much fun," he adds.
But he's the one who felt beat up when the WWE tickets his parents bought from web site Prestigeentertainment.com never showed up.
"I was like so disappointed, I stopped watching wrestling for a little while. It got me so depressed you know," says Tyler.
They paid $365.90 for two seats for him and his dad way back in March. The tickets were to be mailed out.
By June, it seemed the site was dragging its feet sending them out.
His mom started getting nervous because they were about to move, so she called Prestige.
"They said, you need to send us a change of address so we did," says Dawn Shotts.
Here's her fax confirmation proving it but as the August show date inched closer, no tickets.
Her emails to the company... unreturned!
The show went on without Tyler and his dad ringside.
And it wasn't until after the show, Prestige Entertainment claimed they mailed the tickets to Tyler's old house, and there would be no refund.
"I was like, well, then I'm going to call Kurtis," says Dawn.
Prestige Entertainment is a broker. They tell us they didn't do anything wrong.
They sent us the FedEx tracking numbers proving they mailed the tickets to Tyler's old address.
As for that change of address form? They said they didn't get it, and there would be no refund.
We learned the company has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.
But the WWE had a written smackdown when we told them what happened.
They wrote:
"WWE hates to see our fans being taken advantage of by unscrupulous ticket agencies..."

So they decided to give Tyler and his family four tickets when the WWE comes to town in February.
"That would be awesome, really awesome. I could finally get to see the match, you know... be a lot of fun," says Tyler.
The WWE says people shouldn't buy tickets from third company brokers, only companies like Ticketmaster.
Or the safest bet? Go straight to the box office.
