NORTH HIGHLANDS — A North Highlands business was burglarized three times in the last ten days. Thieves made off with about 100 motorized bikes totaling more than $120,000 in losses.

Stealing 100 bikes is no easy task. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said this was an organized burglary that took a lot of planning in order to hit the same business three different times in a matter of days.

The brand of the electric bicycles was Alki featuring custom color patterns that have not yet been sold in the U.S. — either black with red or black with neon green patterns with three-spoke wheels.

If you see these specific bikes anywhere, like Facebook Marketplace, they are likely stolen and you should call the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said the business doesn't want to be identified, but investigators are now looking through surveillance video to help identify the suspects.

"They're victimizing a small business but they're not stupid," said Sgt. Amar Gandhi, sheriff's spokesperson. "These guys are very smart, they're crafty, and they're also creative about how they're going to get the bikes but also how they're going to resell it and make profit off of it."

Deputies so far have been able to return 12 of the stolen e-bikes to the business, but they're not revealing how they got those bikes back.
