Bullet Fired In Celebration Hits Stockton Police Vehicle, Grazes Officer

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A Stockton police officer had a close call after being grazed by a bullet from celebratory gunfire overnight.

Just after midnight, two officers were standing near their patrol car in the 00 block of East Market Street when they reported hearing a gunshot. A bullet then hit the patrol car and "glanced off" one of the officer's legs, according to a Stockton Police Department statement.

Fortunately, the officer not injured.
