Second Suspect Arrested in Aquitania Murders

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of a Sacramento man and his young son in 2007, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Richard Noguera, 33, was arrested today at a south Sacramento business and charged with homicide in the killing of Sean Aquitania Sr., 21, and his 7-month-old son, Sean Aquitania Jr. on Sept. 14, 2007. The two were gunned down after they arrived at a friend's south Sacramento home that was being targeted for a robbery, according to Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives.

Sheriff's detectives arrested the first suspect, Donald Ortez-Lucero, 27, in Oakland on Monday. Both he and Noguera are being held without bail at the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Aquitania's young son was shot in the head when he was still in his car seat, according to detectives. Deputies found Sean Aquitania's body inside the house in the 8400 block of Country Greens Court. He was shot twice in the upper body and died at the scene.

Detectives say Ortez-Lucero and Noguera lived with each other in Sacramento at the time of the murders.

Detectives believe three suspects were involved in the killings. The third suspect is still at large. He's described as an African-American with a round face and stocky build. Detectives believe he was inside the residence when Aquitania Sr. was shot.

The California Correctional Peace Officers Association is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the outstanding suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Brian Meux of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-8486 or (916) 874-5115.
